The day to day duties of the role will involve interviewing candidates, assessing housing needs, the provision of advice and assistance including case work support.
The department`s function is to provide advice and assistance in the private rental sector i.e. checking validity of legal notices etc preventing homelessness and assisting in alternative housing options. Good Interviewing and negotiation skills. Experience of working a busy front line service providing housing advice or homelessness advice ideally in local government or appropriate advice centre The ideal candidate would be a dedicated officer who has the knowledge and skills to assist the homeless or those in housing need. They should have a good knowledge of housing advice law or homelessness, possess excellent customer care skills and should have good communication skills both orally and written. *** Must have experience in Homelessness
